Position Title: Officer - Communication and Documentation

Project Name: 'Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB)

Number of Positions: 01

Location: Based at CARE Bangladesh Dhaka Office

Duration: Initial contract will be up to December 31, 2026


Communication and Documentation Job Responsibilities

  • Support the consortium in strategic decision-making by ensuring governance and looking at the bigger picture to achieve the project objective. 
  • Support formulation and implementation of comprehensive communication and knowledge management strategies aligned with project objectives, BHC, and consortium partner compliance.
  • Keeping community at the center of attention, strategies communication, and documentation that is audience specific.
  • Identify key knowledge gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities, and develop targeted solutions.
  • Support efforts to establish partnerships with government bodies, non-government entities, research institutions, and subject matter experts and concerns nationally and globally to enrich knowledge repositories.
  • Craft compelling narratives that translate intricate technical concepts into creative, engaging, accessible content.
  • Support programme staff in extracting lessons learned and good practices, and documenting case studies that demonstrate qualitative and quantitative changes over the period.
  • Meticulously compile and organize documents that portray project’s innovation, impact, and approach towards scaling up for sustainability.
  • Support the development of advanced knowledge resources such as learning briefs, policy papers, and cases.
  • Develop concise summaries, fact sheets, and presentations for effective sharing of project impact.
  • Conduct thorough document reviews to ensure precision, clarity, and alignment with project guidelines, SOP, and relevant policies.
  • Establish robust protocols for document archiving, ensuring data security and enduring accessibility
  • Lead internal and external communication of British High Commission (BHC) funding and partnership by increasing the visibility of the project and its objective in National, local media (newspapers and TV channels) and social media.
  • Look beyond implementing country audience to showcase the project to the global audience; explore scopes and presence in global events aligned with the project.
  • Assist the branding and quality assurance of the project as per BHC and CARE branding standards, at the same time ensuring partner visibility as applicable.
  • Assist in fostering robust relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure extensive coverage of project events and initiatives.
  • Develop press releases, press conferences, and other media outreach as per project needs.
  • Develop social media (Facebook, X, YouTube) to reach a wider audience.
  •  Work closely with knowledge management focal points of the consortium; support C3ER, BRAC University, and all other thematic partners to ensure production and dissemination of knowledge products, case stories, visual presentation, and media coverage communicated as per knowledge management and learning plan.
  • Record key discussions, decisions, and action points from assigned meetings. Share meeting minutes with relevant team members in a timely and structured manner.
  • Support coordination with consortium partners for collection, generation, and dissemination of information, and organization of events.
  • Additionally, support liaison with government and non-government stakeholders to showcase the project and advocacy as per the FCDO requirements and GoB rules and policies.

Communication and Documentation Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 to 4 years' experience in relevant fields of work, e.g. internal communication, information management, development communication, media publication.
  • Master's in Media & Communications, Advocacy, Sociology, Politics, or other relevant field.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation tools, social media platforms, and document formatting software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in both English and Bengali Good editing skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of climate change adaptation and nature-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on synthesizing complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders, and support in strategic decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong coordination, networking, and advocacy skills.

Care Bangladesh Salary for Communication Job
