The ICT Assistant will support the day-to-day ICT operations in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh to ensure the stable and smooth functioning of ICT systems, equipment, and networks. Under the supervision of the ICT Coordinator, the ICT Assistant will assist in implementing NRC’s ICT policies and procedures, providing technical support, and maintaining ICT assets.

ICT Assistant Job Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Maintenance
- Ensure all NRC users adhere to global ICT policies and procedures.
- Provide first-line ICT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Ensure the installation and maintenance of protection software (antivirus, firewalls, etc.).
- Regularly inspect and maintain ICT equipment (laptops, desktops, printers, network devices).
Asset & License Management
- Maintain accurate ICT registries, including the asset registry and license registry.
- Track license keys, expiration dates, and necessary renewals.
- Ensure all newly purchased ICT assets are tagged and recorded.
- Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing ICT assets.
Network & Security Administration
- Ensure stable and secure LAN (wired & Wi-Fi) and internet connections in NRC offices.
- Conduct regular visits and check-ups to monitor ICT infrastructure.
- Report losses, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the Line Manager.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity standards.
Reporting & Compliance
- Support the procurement process by coordinating license renewals and ICT asset purchases.
- Report potential fraud cases or security breaches to the Line Manager.
- Contribute to ICT capacity building for NRC staff through user training and guidance.
ICT Assistant Job Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ICT support or IT administration.
- Hands-on experience with Office365, Microsoft SharePoint, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of programming is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Fluency in English & Bangla (written and verbal).
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to stay updated with modern ICT trends.
- Willingness to work extended hours if needed.
