Communications Associate Job Description

UNDP Bangladesh seeks a Digital Engagement and Outreach Wizard to join the dynamic team. As a Digital Engagement and Outreach Wizard, she/he will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance UNDP Bangladesh's digital presence and effectively engage with the target audience. The role will involve leveraging various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and other online channels, to promote the UNDP brand, programs, projects, and campaigns.

 
Communications Associate Job Responsibilities


  • The Digital Engagement and Outreach Wizard will be responsible for the following main tasks, but not limited to, under the guidance of the Head of  communications
  •  Lead overall digital engagement strategy and implementation to increase UNDP Bangladesh brand awareness.
  •  Develop and implement digital outreach strategies for external and community engagement, including government, development partners, media, and mass people.
  •  Manage and offer assistance for digital campaigns conducted by various projects within UNDP Bangladesh.
  •  Create compelling content for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and other digital channels.
  •  Monitor and analyze digital metrics and KPIs to optimize engagement and outreach efforts.
  •  Collaborate with social media influencers and goodwill ambassadors to ensure wider reach.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and outreach initiatives to expand the digital presence. 
  • Work with vendors and individual consultants to create digital content like reels, infographics, games,, etc.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in digital engagement and outreach. 
  •  Address specific requests from the Resident Representative, Deputy Resident Representative, and cluster heads.

Communications Associate Job Qualifications

Communications Associate Job Education 

  • Secondary  Education is required. OR University Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing,, or a related field would be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.


Communications Associate Job Experiences 

  • Minimum of 6 years (with a high school diploma) or 3 years (with a bachelor's degree) of relevant communications experience preferably providing communication packages at the national level to promote the activities of an international development organization.


Communications Associate Job Skills

  • Experience in the basic use of computers and relevant office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to use web-based management and electronic log, file, and/or scheduling systems.
  • Experience in Editing and writing English/Bangla language content
  • Relevant experience in Creating content using different cutting-edge technologies Experience in organizing events
  • Experience in running social media campaigns with an impact
  • Experience in working with social media influencers


Communications Associate Job Language 

  • Fluency in English and Bangla is required.
