Responsibilities & Context

Job Description

  • Ensure project plans and schedules are followed, developing solutions to project challenges, and directing others for successful completion of project on time and in budget.
  • Oversee project activities and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Help project team and other stakeholders define, communicate and drive the strategic vision and goal of the project.
  • Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of BRAC and the donors
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  • Advice on ‘best practice’ approach to all aspects of programme and project management which is practical and result focused.
  • Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners/BRAC departments/GoB/ ministries to guarantee smooth implementation of Safe Migration and reintegration activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
  • Ensuring project plans, specifications, roles and responsibilities and the necessary communications are defined and completed to standard within the programme framework.
  • Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis to BRAC and donor.
  • Work closely with team members to provide training on strategic initiatives, project operation, problem solving, prioritization of work and improving quality thereby.
  • Troubleshoot project problems, launch initiatives to reduce operational costs and defects, identify and implement creative solutions.
  • Develop and evaluate the tools and techniques used by the project to manage the project.
  • Mentoring team members by sharing tips and techniques
  • Facilitate project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure they align with programme objectives.
  • Collaborate with other managers to execute project.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
